#Octopus! #Infodump 🧵 First up, there's debate over the plural form of octopus. I'm not going to get into that here. I am going to use octopuses as the plural form. Octopus (meaning "eight foot") are a type of cephalopod ("head foot",) which are a type of mollusc (soft-bodied invertebrate.) The floopy sac part of an octopus is called a mantle. There's a waste tube that pokes out of this called a siphon. The mouth is centred between the eight arms, and has a retractable beak.
