@losttourist you got that right. I love the idea of a decentralised network but the anarchy of how it's implemented across the instances is confusing.

In this case for me it was a post reply from a dot social account advertising some crap, which is something I can accept as part and parcel of the game as I post publicly. Reported and blocked as usual. I don't get too much of this sort of thing, though, so can't really complain. I turned off DMs from non-followers ages ago so never see whatever tries to send anything to me that way.

@neonbubble @losttourist famous last words as I didn't experience crap during the last big wave and I'm on the source instance. Yeah get a few follow requests from the odd grifters now & again but that's about it. I'm guessing each instance is not accessing the same block lists which makes it all a lot more work. The downside of any non Corp, volunteer run admin environment I guess.
