M$ has always been a fascist company… mass surveillance, contracts with the ICE….
Like pretty much all capitalist corpo-rat-ions, capitalists and fascists, warmongers, colonialist… have always been allies.

@devnull yup, sounds about right

@lashman
The article mention a group called "Stop Antisemitism"From the article:
"Nasr said his firing was disclosed on social media by the watchdog group Stop Antisemitism more than an hour before he received the call from Microsoft. The group didn’t immediately respond Friday to a request for comment on how it learned about the firing.
The same group had months earlier called on Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to take action against Nasr for his public stances on Israel."

@uva not even surprised
-
@lashman that's classic Microsoft
-
@mstrife yup, definitely not surprising, at all
-
@lashman Because Microsoft (and for that matter the Microsoft founder Bill Gates through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) are the ones paying for the escalations and paying to direct government policy towards Israel.
MS pays for the killing of Palestinians and Lebanese by funding the geopolitical think tanks which directly influence government policy on Israel and on this war in particular. That's why they don't tolerate dissent.

@alexadeswift @lashman
forced always online accountbloatware
spyware
adverts in a product you already paid for
they make games and apps run worse if you haven't got them through Windows Store because they want a software monopoly
the corporation has been convicted for predatory monopoly 5 times, bribing stores to hide rival products at the back
you can't go through 11 logo redesigns and not have peaked
but at least they have TERRIBLE POLITICS
-
@lashman we can't be having these stupid groups threatening people's livelihoods for simply mourning victims of war crimes, it's absurd
-
@caitp agreed!
