Yesterday the wife dumped a bunch of chia seeds down the drain. They expanded and clogged it solid.
I spent last night trying to snake it out. The pipes were literally just solid with chia jelly. Got a plumber out this a.m. He spent 3+ hours snaking. Then ripped all the pipes out, cleaned them out manually and rebuilt it.
Cost me nearly $1200, but I didn't feel ripped off. I totally ruined this guy's day, if not his whole week.
His parting words: "Don't put that shit down your pipes again!"

Recently that sabotage field manual has been making the round. I would like to suggest adding chia seeds to the list of ways to mess up anything containing liquid.
Snaking is useless. If you do manage to push the snake through and pull it out again, the jelly just closes up behind it. It's not like a mass of hair you can pull out. It seriously messes things up like nothing I've ever seen.
