If you’re feeling panicky about polling (as I have), you should totally read this https://open.substack.com/pub/statuskuo/p/its-manipulation-plain-and-simple?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

Basically there are GOP operatives who are preparing for Trump to claim that the election was rigged because “LOOK AT THE POLLS THEY ALL SAID I’M WINNING.” Polls are a total scam. Elon Musk is even messing with the betting markets. It’s a mess

It really is neck and neck, with no reason to believe that either one is a guaranteed win, which is why it's so important to volunteer and especially vote. It's terrifying that we're at this point though. White Supremacism / Patriarchy is so normalized in this country that half the population of these swing States is willing to vote for someone who represents it. We could probably overcome this, but people have to get out and vote.

@Raccoon Speaking as a political radical, I remain suspicious whether we can vote this away. @AngryBlackLady

Of course not. I've never heard anyone say voting alone was enough. It's going to take petitions, ballot measures, grassroots campaigns from people who want this to change...But none of that can happen if the US doesn't remain a democracy.
Think about it this way, it's not about who you think is going to bring the change you want, it's who you think you can get more of that change under. Not everyone agrees on what to do, the fact that people are arguing over Harris is proof in itself that we aren't a monolithic group, so we'll never have a silver bullet candidate for everyone. What we DO have here is a candidate who will safeguard our ability to make that change, probably even roll over for a lot of it.
We need to get Harris into office, along with as many Democrat reps as possible, and then we need to keep going.
