Over the past few days I decided to figure out why my electric bill is so high.
All of the lighting in this house is controlled by UPB remote dimmers. The utility room has 62 of these. I pulled one out of the cabinet and measured the power consumption when in the "off" position. Each one pulls 75 ma @ 120V when no lights are on. So even when I'm not home this room of dimmers pulls over 500W and costs over $70/mo in electricity.
So much waste, and I don't know how to fix it.

@wanderinghermit @GustavinoBevilacqua this is a great argument against the proliferation of home control devices. The answer is to go back to simple switches and sensors.
