@PavelASamsonov Thanks for the tips, Pavel! The Centre Pompidou is on our list. With two kids, we need to carefully balance the amount of museums we visit, but we’ll try to see as much as possible.

@koehnlein Yes, I also heard they added lights to the tower to make it more interesting.

@matthiasott
There's some kind of arch too, but it's just a cheap replica. -

@matthiasott They seem very desperate to make this tower somehow attractive
-
@seindal Oh, nice! I like arcs. They are so … triumphant.

@matthiasott I enjoyed strolling around Marais. There are a lot of small shops and good food and coffee choices.

@matthiasott I haven’t been in over 20 years but I quite adored the Musée d’Orsay. The art collection is wonderful and the building itself is lovely.
Musée d'Orsay
Musée pluridisciplinaire exposant la plus riche collection de tableaux impressionnistes et post impressionnistes au monde dans l'ancienne gare d'Orsay à Paris.

Sacré-Cœur is also very lovely, and you get a great view of the city from the top of the hill.

@s2b @matthiasott Second this. We walked from Canal Saint-Martin down towards the Seine (specifically towards Melodies Graphiques) and those street were beautiful
-
@stegrainer Thank you! I’ll add the Musée d’Orsay to the list. ️ And as we are staying in Montmartre, Sacré-Cœur will be unavoidable
-
@what_about_second_breakfast @s2b Thank you! That sounds great!

Here is my list of pastry and chocolate shop recommendations:Steve Gisselbrecht (@[email protected])
@[email protected] Okay, here we go. The best chocolate pastries I had while in Paris, and coincidentally the best chocolate pastries I have ever had anywhere, were at Jean-Paul Hevin. They also have excellent chocolates, and other great things, too, but it's the chocolate pastries (les petits gateaux) that are the special magic thing here. The Tonka is my personal favorite, the Pomme de Terre is worth it just for the visual (and also delicious), but everything is great.

(I would also LOVE to highlight the Palais de Tokyo but you said you're kinda full up on museums. Actually that being the case let me mention the "Museum of Open-Air Sculpture" which is a whole section of the left bank of the Seine with I think even a couple playgrounds so maybe perfect for a family where the parents want museum but can't overdo it!)

@stevegis_ssg This is amazing, Steve! 🤩 Thank you so much!
-
@matthiasott I heard they host the paralympics around this time... So probably you will not get to see as much because it's blocked for the public? Have fun anyways! We enjoyed Paris pretty much back in 2015!

@nhoizey You were right! 🤩
