@silverpill i have a lot of stuff in the outgoing queue, which i suspect are what has been causing my federation lag issues. On journalctl i see a lot of times that mitra tries to resend stuff and queues it again but always fails. I've tried blocking the instances in the /etc/hosts file, which I think probably has alleviated the issue for me

@mischievoustomato This is not caused by delivery errors. Your server is sending hundreds of messages, when normally there is 5-10 messages in the queue. What did you do before you noticed the lag?

@mischievoustomato I changed some parameters in 3.4.0, it should process outgoing activities a bit quicker now.
But a proper solution would require more work.
