After lying that he'd be "great for women and their reproductive rights” and pretending to favor free IVF, Donald Trump says he won't vote to overturn Florida's extreme 6 week abortion ban.

This is why you can't trust his Project 2025 denials. He'll say anything to win. No denial or promise he makes can be believed.

@mattsheffield @gwaldby Why does the media keep letting #Trump spout off about the absolutely, completely untrue myth that some states allow abortion in the ninth month and even after birth? Why don’t they just say sir, that’s BS? Just once I’d like to hear that. Because as often as he repeats it, people who don’t know any better will just assume it’s true.

Classic #fascism: define a nebulous group or institution, dehumanize and stoke with fear. No exaggeration will be perceived as ridiculous to your true believers. Their fears become hate for the group/institution. They have a “them” to hate more, and bind their “us” more tightly together.

@Thumper1964 @mattsheffield @gwaldby Because questioning him is 'unfair' treatment. It's liberal bias. Fake news. It's coastal elites out to get him.

You may be joking, but this is precisely the reason given by AG Sulzberger for making the New York Times a "centrist" publication.
