Looking forward to migrate my Kubernetes setup to a micro-vm environment:
feat(gvisor): Add new runtime class with KVM support by SISheogorath · Pull Request #434 · siderolabs/extensions
This patch adds a new runtime class to the gvisor extension allowing to use the KVM platform feature. This is done by selecting runsc-kvm as runtime.

Already started to run pods in gvisor and now moving to KVM-based gvisor runtime, will be even more fun.

@sheogorath Am I understanding it correctly, that it spins up a VM instead of a container to run the pod?
-
@mhamzahkhan a very lightweight one, yes. But it still uses all other Container formats and features.
Kata-container is a bit more straight forward to understand given it runs full VMs, while gvisor does a lot of smart things to keep things a bit lighter.

@sheogorath Ohhhhh that's interesting. I want to play with it now.
It's slightly different I guess, but I was thinking about deploying #KubeVirt on my cluster, and seeing if I can get rid of #Proxmox

@mhamzahkhan @sheogorath You might check out Harvester if you want a kubevirt based ProxMox alternative.
