There is one thing to keep in mind: your printer runs Linux which needs routine patching. AFAIK, up to this point Bambu took care of that for you.
Just not updating ever again means you have to assume that there will be unpatched vulnerabilities connected to motors/heaters/camera in your home. I’m not suggesting you should update, but understand the implications

@linux_mclinuxface That's true for the X1C, not for the other printers. Also, I believe that what people want is to send a message to Bambu Lab so they revert their decision. The harm has been done and they will have to gain their users' trust, but they won't unless they go back on their decision

@Xzan honest question: what do the other printers use if not Linux? I was under the impression that we’re all similar in architecture.
(I hope you’re right about message sending: I’m not optimistic though. It’s messy for them.)
