I'm going to in the next few days figure out the best way to communicate this to those directly affected but I will be closing down our #Pixelfed instance from May 1st 2025 following the abusive behaviour of the Pixelfed primary developer and creator recently and my lack of ongoing confidence and being unable to support hosting software maintained by individuals that again do not share the values I hold or that I see as important for the sites I look after.

@risottobias @irelephant They went on some sort of online rampage harassing and abusing someone who was trying to contribute to Loops as well as a few other folks. When they were told they were being an ass they then abused those people and publicly called them out before Gargron told them to pipe down at which point they bulk deleted posts, and 20 mins later the whole thing started again. A whole load of abusive tech bro behaviour and it was the second or third time it had happened in 2 weeks
