Wow I hate this, every level of government in this country runs on pure vibes. We have actual clear evidence things could be better, I hate it. #ottawa #onpoli https://press.coop/@CBCNews/113167358929571501

There is a demographic that truly hates #bikes
I sat waiting to cross a road in the green advanced space for bikes. A truck (ya a pickup) honked me and told me to move. So he could turn right. 10-20 seconds max, I was slowing this guy. He probably will vote for President's Choice Party of Ontario if this was implemented. -

@intothewestaway for all the delays this person had on that particular trip by just being behind someone in traffic, he should have been on the horn the entire time. But he chooses this one time to act out, itβs a power thing.

I have been biking on roads in Canada for more than 50 years. All across the country. The last 3-4 years are probably the worst I have seen. And I am feeling my mortality, so that doesn't help. -

@intothewestaway it has been 30 or so for me, getting back in to it in a major way this summer after 5 years away has been very good for me. Luckily I donβt deal with much that I see others go through. Being a big strong fast white guy almost certainly helps so I do what I can to advocate.

As a teenager in Montreal in the 60s, i would bike to any work I had. I worked a night shift for a summer job. I would bike 5-10k and come back in the morning. I never had hassles like today. I was just a skinny little guy. Power and dominance of the car/truck culture is convinced that there is a war on cars. Try riding a bike!Cheers
