I need a stats plugin alternative to JetPack - and to Independent Analytics. The latter is charts based and inaccessible, JetPack stats has the automattic policy and I can't ask for support (donations) in my posts then. Advantage of JetPack statistics, its mobile app with the widget telling me today's visitors as soon as I access my phone's home. That's the moon, but at least I look for a plugin showing me visitors in text format! #WordPress #accessibility

@JosKleverWebSupport @ross @talksina @dvk let’s start a Koko choir! I wanted to sing the same.
-
@carstingaxion @JosKleverWebSupport @ross @dvk There is a creature named Coco -spelled with c, not k- here walking around moving her tail who knows what she can think about the fact a plugin has its name similar to hers
-
@carstingaxion @JosKleverWebSupport @ross @dvk But damn, this koko has always the same accessibility issue found in Independent Analytics and, during latest year, even in JetPack but I could bypass it through JetPack's mobile app: the chart with NO accessible alternatives, and views reports tabled using div/css rather than data tables. Can I say I'm furious? They ask a review, they ask to talk about them in blogs and socials, I won't buy their pro.

@talksina @carstingaxion @ross @dvk If you can describe what would work for you, I guess Danny will see what he can do to make Koko Analytics accessible.

@JosKleverWebSupport @carstingaxion @ross @dvk Let me see tomorrow or Sunday when I start to get first visits. Then I'll get it better - I don't want to give vague feedbacks to devs.

@JosKleverWebSupport @talksina @carstingaxion @ross I would love to improve it. If I'd been aware of the issue, I would have already. So yes please, any details you can share would be super helpful for me.

@dvk @JosKleverWebSupport @carstingaxion @ross "the issue"? Damn, it's the whole stats interface that is poor! Data are not placed in native data tables for example, just CSS. Then the chart has no text alternative, no headings or landmarks dividing various sections, in few words it's not optimized for web content accessibility guidelines at all! I'd spend hours to create an accessibility assessment for you. Please optimize it for WCAG 2.1 at least.

@talksina @JosKleverWebSupport @carstingaxion @ross I would happily reimburse you for your time as I'd love this chance to improve on this front.
Please send me an email at [email protected] if that's something you'd be willing to do and have time for relatively soon-ish (some time next few months?).
Just please keep it civil - I'm just a self employed developer trying my best.

@dvk @JosKleverWebSupport @carstingaxion @ross koko analytics would become the first statistics accessible plugin if well optimized. Myself alone can't help enough, I'll do my best but we all need #WordPress #accessibility team to help us. The fault isn't even yours, you aren't formed on accessibility like many devs aren't, despite first web content accessibility guidelines where published 25 years ago. I'll drop you a line after @wpa11yday
