I have created a #Cybersecurity feed on #Surf for anyone on the beta. The feed includes posts, etc., regarding Cybersecurity information. You can even contribute to the feed using the hashtag #CyberSecBrief.

If you have any recommendations for a source that I can add to the feed, just let me know.
If you are not in the Surf beta, I have an invite code that can get you in. Just DM me, and I will share it with you. This is all due to the huge thanks of @marci, @mike, and all of the @surf team. They are such great people.
You can learn more about Surf by is from this great article from The Verge.
Flipboard’s Surf app is a big new idea about the future of social
Surf compiles feeds from Threads, Bluesky, and RSS and combines them into a single reading and social experience based on ActivityPub and other federated tech.

@beardedtechguy @surf @marci @mike something I've noticed since seeing Surf feed links shared on social media: I have to have SURF opened initially. If not and I click a link, I only see my Surf home screen. Then, I have to go back to click on the link.

@beardedtechguy @surf @marci @mike this looks awesome, a fantastic idea and good time for it. But is there any long term plan to open source / self host? Or is this truly client only?

@Powareverb @beardedtechguy @surf @marci The bulk of what Surf is built on is open source and can be self hosted (i.e. Mastodon, Pixelfed, Bluesky, etc) We will also have a web based version of Surf soon. As far as open sourcing Flipboard's backend that's a task we'd like to tackle at some point. We're more likely to open our APIs first.
