I want do design a card game about programming language design. Each player has a feature they're trying to get accepted into the language and you win if your get yours accepted first. Some of the cards you can play include:
Bikeshed! Target player loses three turns debating irrelevant syntax arguments. Can be played more than once.
Expand Scope! Add six more subfeatures to target player's critical path.
Relitigate! Search the discard deck for a previous decision and bring it back into play.

An irony I see in this is that I don't understand the appeal of games that I call chore simulators. Like, my backyard grows plenty of weeds to pull. Why would I want to play a video game about pulling weeds?
But I've just proposed the programming language designer's version of a chore simulator.
