In this setup, where would you put your webcam?
⓵, ⓶, ⓷, or ⓸?I just got a funky square-ish LG DualUp monitor set-up. Later today, I'm doing a webinar featuring the integration of Syft (our open-source SBOM tool) in Anchore Enterprise. I need help deciding where to put the webcam!
Tune in later (link below) to find out which one I choose!

@popey you should stop listening to podcasts for a bit, then you won’t make purchases like that…

@mattdm I have been lusting after this kind of device for a decade, and never committed. I really should, at some point, because I think it would make quite a difference, and prevent my eyes from going all over the place

You could do it cheaper than that, but that has the whole frame and mounting hardware and stuff.

@funnelfiasco @mattdm I have a cheapo HDMI display (which is marketed as a portable second laptop screen, or game console display.) That might do the trick as an extra display, one could put the video call window on that monitor, so you would be able to look directly at the camera and see people..

The 12" glass is good for a 14" 16:9 monitor. A cheap one is fine. If I had the space, I'd go for a 15" mirror (and I suppose a 17" monitor).

Yeah, a "portable laptop screen" is exactly what I use.
The rig I got works best if there's VESA mount holes on the back, but not strictly necessary.

Also, my setup is intentionally not great for anything other than video calls, because if I'm not on a call, I should be at my walking desk rather than sitting. And it's _so_ tempting to just sit.
