@lashman Is this for real? I don’t see this post in same BlueSky account as I’m there too. I wouldn’t like to find here and there same lies as in X.

@NONE yeah, no joke!

@lashman It's a full copy of Twitter, of course its gonna end up like it..

I'm not a fan of bluesky - I think that the main social media shouldn't be owned by a single company, since that gives them too much power.
But subscriptions aren't always a bad thing, especially when it doesn't restrict necessary features. Running servers costs lots of money, so its understandable that when something becomes bigger to have some kind of subscription.
Let's instead focus on the actual things that we shouldn't be okay with, like A SINGLE COMPANY OWNING THE CENTRE FOR FREE SPEECH BEING A BAD IDEA, WE LITERALLY JUST SAW WHAT HAPPENED WITH TWITTER IF YOU HAVE A SINGLE POINT OF FAILURE-
-
@lashman ... and that's how enshitification starts. The real freedom is a community governed instance.

@lashman Huh indeed!
I wonder, is it "hosted" from them? So you'll pay them for more storage etc
Bsky is still vague for me, i tried setting it all up but i could only get the backend to work
Somehow i still had to use their FE, and i do not want that
