"Maybe Later" Intensifies.
I can already see that I'm going to regret having upgraded one of my machines to macOS 15. Has anyone figured out how to make this dark-pattern patronizing bullshit permanently take "yes" for an answer?

@jwz I actually agree with this decision, even though it is hostile to me as a power user. It increases the discoverability of spouseware/stalkerware using the standard tcc permissions, and encourages periodic reevaluation of consent even for legitimate apps. This is a good thing for the average user, even if it drives me batty.

@ajn142 Fuck that entirely. This paternalistic "won't someone think of the children" crap does not change the fact that to run my business, I require a general purpose computer that does what I tell it to and nothing else.

Great news, everybody! It's *not possible* to downgrade from macOS 15 to macOS 14 without burning a thumb drive and being physically present. Apple can fuck directly off into the Sun with this bullshit.

This machine's user is set to auto-log-in. Screen saver, display sleep, power saving: all set to never, as they always have been.
And with macOS 15, about every 12 hours, it locks the screen. AND unmounts the external drives!!
Since it's going to take me a while to downgrade this motherfucker, if anyone can tell me how to make it stop doing either or both of these things, that would be great.
