TODAY: The House is going to vote on a bill that would give the incoming Trump administration unchecked power to target civil society institutions that stand in the way of his authoritarian agenda.

H.R. 9495 would allow Trump’s Treasury Department to label any not for profit organization — think tanks, human rights groups, civil liberties orgs, universities, student groups, even Indivisible — a “terrorist supporting organization” and strip it of its tax-exempt status.
