My late Dad was not a shrewd money man. He left me no end of old coins which have little value beyond sentimentality. I have 3 #EEC joining 1973 50p pieces which, looking on FleaBay are worth between bugger all and whatever you'd like to delude yourself that they are worth. #UK #coins

@emsquared my father in law bought all kinds of first day covers and sets of new stamps - World Cup, that kind of thing. There were loads of them. We got £75 I think for them.

@rivets Aaaw. Better than nought. No doubt the stamps helped. My Dad was the type that fell for all these worthless coinage things advertised on Vintage TV and the like. Much of it entirely worthless but hey.
