I can't believe that after basically 30 years of the concept of dominance of the UI principle of “opening a document with a default application" you can't do a key combination like ALT+DOUBLECLICK to open an app with a preferred secondary application.

I can't believe that after basically 30 years of the dominance of the concept and UI principle of “opening a document with a default application" you can't do a key combination like ALT+DOUBLECLICK to open an app with a preferred secondary application. As opposed to the clunky, right-click, select “open with" etc.
eg.
- Double Click an html document opens in Web Browser
- ALT+ Double Click an html document opens in Code Editor -
@chris that's... A great idea! I'd love to open something with ie vscode or sublime that easily.
