Excited to experiment with A/B testing in the @loops app!

This and basic/privacy friendly usage analytics will be crucial to help evolve the app and experience!

Thanks to Sentry, we will have better crash/log reporting compared to the Pixelfed app.

@jak2k @loops Yeah that's true, but what's worse than an app that doesn't respect privacy: an app with bugs

Ideally, I hope to remove Sentry once we resolve any bugs during the beta, and since Loops will be open source, you will be able to compile the app from source without Sentry (and at that point, it won't be used)

@dansup @jak2k @loops well, I may personally prefer an app with bugs. A bug can be fixed in the next release, privacy is gone for good. With all respect, this seems a false dichotomy to me, and a dangerous argument.

@bustikiller @jak2k @loops I've removed Sentry from Loops, we're implementing our own self-reporting bug feature that will not include any PII.

I want to thank both of you for your feedback, it's not worth it if our community doesn't feel the same way and I hope you understand how much I value your feedback.
