@Scienceisnotopinions if I was in charge...
1: heavily surcharge insurance by weight of personal vehicle, make it hugely expensive to own those useless urban super trucks
2: every 2 year pollution and safety inspection which includes noise controls (most of Europe does this)
3: automatic seizure of vehicle for violating noise regs, huge fine and costs like towing/storage to get it back
4: 3 violations, forfeit the vehicle, lose license for 2 years, retake test -
@MatWright Send this to the city Matt. It's great!
-
@Scienceisnotopinions it would be prov regulations so sent to our useless MLA
I'd add put in funding for mandatory regular roadblock checks - I get why police forces don't do them more, takes up a lot of resources, but they really do clean up when they do them
-
@MatWright This town really needs cleaning up. Many of the perpetrators are rich folks who think they're untouchable. They need to shut down these companies that sell these parts to morons online.
-
@Scienceisnotopinions well yes - those RAM trucks start at $80K, the souped up cars not much lower, and the bikes $30K+ - so it ain't working class folks making noise
-
@MatWright Part of the problem is these cars without mufflers that are mostly university and college students. I call them farty cars because that's what they sound like. These kids try to dress up their shitty cars to make noise. WTF is wrong with people? First the car stereos, now this. But tonight it was several pickups that caused me grief. I'm at my breaking point. There is zero law enforcement in this town.
They want trucks to replace their dicks. I guess they don't work anymore.
