@MarcusAnthonyCyganiak WordPress user here. But no idea if there is really a community. I know quite a few folks from the instance "toot . social" and "# WordPress" is a hashtag worth following. Then the account @WordPress to follow. I doubt there's a proper "mastodon WordPress community" btw it would be a good idea to have a fediverse instance "community . wordpress .org" like it's in the matrix server.

@talksina @WordPress I did not realise that #WordPress has a #Mastodon account. Following them now. Thanks for that!
And yes, it would be pretty cool if WordPress created its own Mastodon community in the Fediverse, much like how the @Vivaldi browser has done.

@MarcusAnthonyCyganiak @WordPress @Vivaldi Yeah, WordPress community's mastodon account is quite new. That's why I always suggest to be as faithful as we can with hashtag usage; hashtags are essential for Fediverse and they can create good networks. #WordPress #fediverse

@talksina @WordPress @Vivaldi Yes, I just realised I could follow hashtags, so I'm now following the #WordPress hashtag.

@MarcusAnthonyCyganiak @WordPress @Vivaldi It is what I always do for topics of interest. IMHO following specific hashtags is better than having a group related to an account. Groups keep you tied to a specific service while you can interact with a hashtag's user without disturbing other follower for that hashtag -unless you write it again on the reply post-.

@MarcusAnthonyCyganiak @WordPress @Vivaldi Community? You might follow [email protected] as well - it is a group which if tagged, boosts every post automatically. - I didn't place the @ sign before the name "wordpress" or it could become a nearly off-topic post shared in the group, becoming disturbing.
