Update!
I now have a CT scan of my teeth. Comes with a Windows executable - wonder if that'll run in WINE? -
Holy shit! This CT Scan is so good that I can see my "Mental Foramen".
Up until today, I had no idea that I had a couple of holes in my lower jaw.
Trying to work out the privacy ramifications of posting a screenshot. This is so freaking cool!
-
Using Aliza for Linux (https://www.aliza-dicom-viewer.com/) I was able to load the DICOM images from my CT Scan and turn them into a 3D model of my teeth.
-
I got my teeth 3D printed.
What could possibly go wrong?!

Want to know what happens if you keep your baby teeth until your mid-40s?
They end up wearing away to little nubs and have to be extracted under anaesthesia.
One had a fairly long root, but was chipped in the mouth.
The other was hardier, but the root was all but gone.Hope to get a good price from the Tooth Fairy!

Next stage of my teeth upgrades done.
I now have metal healing abutments instead of holes in my mouth.Rather felt like I was a piece of IKEA furniture as the dentist took a screwdriver and tightened them in my mouth.
Doesn't look like there's any way to fit an NFC chip in the crowns. So I guess they'll just be boring fangs.
Hopefully quick-socketed so I can easily upgrade them later.

@Edent
with NFC:
Would you then put your cheek against the payment terminal in the supermarket? -
@tomww I was thinking of headbutting the Oyster terminal on the Tube.
-
@Edent As someone who has... fucked teeth and may be coming into enough money to get that sorted would you mind explaining what you're having done a bit?

@mw1cgg as per up-thread, I've had two of my teeth pulled out.
A few months ago, a very friendly dentist (London based) drilled two pilot holes and stuck in some implants + synthetic bone.
Once they healed, he cut my gum open again and added a healing abutment.
In a few weeks, they'll scan my jaw, print some new crowns and screw them on.Worth shopping around a few dentists. Get a CT scan at one and then show it to others.
Happy to explain more.
