Hello #PHP friends! Which library do you personally use to convert #Markdown into HTML?
(I cannot stress enough that I am looking for *personal* recommendations. I know how to use a search engine. I like to know what people are actually using. Yes, I realise this clarifying paragraph is longer than the question. Blame the twunts who insist on answering every question with a guess.)

@Edent for a one off, pandoc, but usually with a static site generator.

I am on Hugo, but somebody pointed me into the general direction of https://eklausmeier.goip.de/blog/2021/11-13-performance-comparison-saaze-vs-hugo-vs-zola https://eklausmeier.goip.de/blog/2021/10-31-simplified-saaze for PHP based SSG

@plaindocs
As in, you wrap Pandoc in PHP? Or do you mean something else? -
@isotopp
I always try to make my writing easy to understand.
What could I have done to make it more clear that I was looking for *personal* recommendations? -
@Edent We use Parsedown in TheyWorkForYou: https://github.com/mysociety/theyworkforyou/blob/54af37a0a18be57040cc2b3c43e09e5ae9165acc/classes/Renderer/Markdown.php

@Edent I can't believe I have an answer to this, it's been so long since I used PHP but I built a documentation and learning system for raspberry pi which used parsedown and it did all I needed well https://github.com/erusev/parsedown

@Edent We’re using league/commonmark (switched from michelf/php-markdown). Also because it has support for GitHub Flavored Markdown.

Thanks to everyone who recommended #CommonMark - it's really cool!
If you're able to help me with this small config issue, I'd be eternally grateful.
