@Drwave @coffeegeek I loved my 7000 that I used in grad school. Until someone stole it at customs in Canada (indeed not all Canadians are nice). Couldn’t afford a replacement until I got my real job at Pixar (then I got a Nikon digital SLR).

My first real camera was the Maxxum 5xi, then the 7xi after (I sold my crappy car + the 5xi to buy it, and also have some rent money while in University!) I had only two lenses - the ubiquitous 50mm AF, and the 28-80 zoom. Absolutely loved that camera. I even had several of the creative cards, incl the custom one (you needed that one for the camera to leave a bit of film out when rewinding, because I developed the film myself at Carlton University's photo lab) and irc, the portrait and sports one.
