I don't really want a new phone.
Or, more realistically, a new-to-me, secondhand, phone. The phone works fine.
Nor do I want to faff around with my music library.
So, hmm... decisions.

@neil Can you not just stream it from a server? It's not like you to be without connectivity for a while.
Bog standard Nextcloud works for me although my needs are basic and I realise that a lot of people demand more from a music server than I do.
-
@mw1cgg Yes, I can - I have jellyfin for streaming - but I prefer to have my music locally.
For some reason, I've never seen the attraction of needing to use the Internet to play music!
-
@neil Also thanks for telling me what people use Jellyfin for. I hear it mentioned often but I've never been bothered to look into what it does. I suppose I should. It may not be for me but Wifeface might like it.

@mw1cgg I am a fan.
Whenever we get a new DVD or CD, I rip it, and add it to the media server, from where jellyfin picks it up.
Same with stuff on YouTube and other sites, using yt-dlp.
There is a client on the Apple TV, and we each have apps on our phones.
I use it mostly for video, although all our music is on there too.
