To me solarpunk is about having a whole culture in maintenance mode. Preserving things, repairing things, fixing the broken in ways that are resilient, and if new things must be made, that they are both made to last and fully repairable.

@troublewithwords I get that. Interesting notion that just popped into my head: ‘Luke era Star Wars’ is solarpunk.
You don’t really see anything new being made (ok, minus the gigantic unsustainable death star, but that’s also kinda the crux of the whole idea), everything is old and repairable… the tech exists to make even desert planets sustain life (ie, mousture farms)…
