I’m starting to regret my decision to not go to a hotel for the next couple of days whilst they re-seal the asphalt.

That Bill can’t really get out of the house was known, but I hadn’t considered the intense smell. It may or may not actually be, but it *smells* carcinogenic.

@octothorpe Can you close windows? This is for folk who work with it, so exposure would be greater, but it could be uncomfortable breathing it in for a prolonged period of time.
-
@octothorpe only in California
-
@Eggfreckles ‘may’.
-
@octothorpe You're reminding me of this, one of many tar chunks I spotted at a (yup, smelly) roofing jobsite on a hot summer's day in Toronto in 2006.

@CStamp oh yeah, we have AC so the windows are almost always closed, unless we’re out on the deck. We keep the door slightly ajar, as the locking mechanism has tripped whilst I was outside… had to jump down, and get into the house. It was… acrobatic.

@CStamp while our house is leaky AF in terms of air, we do have an air purifier in the bedroom.
-
@Isocat what am I looking at? It looks like evil canned cranberry sauce.
