FWIW, I’ve just been getting two boosters every year, because AFAICT (1) data says that makes sense, both in terms of protection and in terms of vaccine safety, and (2) apparently in the US nobody stops you.
My plan for this year: I just got my updated mRNA booster last week, and plan to get a second (prob Novavax, mix it up!) around the end of November.

@inthehands It would have been nice for kids to be able to get their updated COVID vaccinations before the schools started up again.
But none of the local pharmacies I have been following have supply for the under-12s yet.
It's not great.
