Bluesky is raising new funding led by Bain Capital Ventures that would value the social media company at around $700 million, according to sources.

It will be very interesting to see how much they raise and who invests in the company. Also interesting that the investment round is led by Bain Capital.

That's a lot of money for a company with effectively zero revenue.
It would be very helpful to see the funding round prospectus to see what it is they are selling to potential investors. And, of course, to find out who actually currently holds stock in the company, which remains unclear.
If you are on Bluesky perhaps you should be curious about who owns the platform and who Bain is marketing it to. Just saying...

Indeed, no one is buying into that kind of valuation and not intending to use it to exert influence. There is no viable return on investment strategy otherwise.
