What am I missing here? Comparing the 2020 Presidential turnout #s to this year there are fewer Dems and Inds and more Reps. Sure we're ahead again but not by as much as 2020. Let's win with facts, not spin. If I'm missing something please explain.

It's a very good question. 2020 was during covid, and the states, all states, were encouraging people to vote early and by mail. Trump as a contrarian was telling his voters there votes would not be counted if they voted by mail and was discouraging early voting. The result was a huge lead in early voting for the Dem. This year the GOP recognizes their error and has been doing a full press on early voting, so it is expected to be closer...

... But what is really surprising in PA and MI is that Dems are STILL beating the Republicans by 2:1. This was not expected at all, and is really good news.
