I know politics is all about compromise and there are no perfect candidates, blah blah blah but I entered adulthood in the 80s and my tent isn't big enough for Dick Fucking Cheney

@kims His endorsement is an incredibly big deal and will bring Harris votes. It's the hardest thing about being human but we have to acknowledge all good acts, even from people who have let us down in the past.

This is going to sound rhetorical, but I don't mean it to. I'm really asking: Who are the people who are going to be persuaded to change their vote by the endorsement of Dick or Liz Cheney?
Right-wingers, their natural constituency, simply dismiss anyone who turns on Trump. The people we charitably call undecideds are undecided mostly because they don't follow politics much, and likely don't know a lot about who either Cheney is, and certainly don't live their life according to the advice the Cheneys dole out.
What does the person look like who sees the Cheneys' endorsements and says "Well if Liz and Dick are backing Kamala, I'm in!"?

Disagree. There are a lot of dyed in the wool Republicans who are disgusting by Trump, but don't know how to do anything but vote GOP. For some this will give them permission to just this once vote for a Democrat. You can just imagine the discussions at the country club today.

@mastodonmigration @Gustodon @kims
Well, we'll see how it goes but I wouldn't bet a nickel on him or Liz moving the needle if you gave me 1,000-1 odds.

You may be right. We will see. It's certainly not going to make a huge difference.
