Been thinking some more about the Dana Bash CNN interview and one comment from yesterday by @libramoon stands out: "I thought it was an insult to the VPOTUS", they posted.
Now, don't expect excessive reverence to our elected officials, but the lack of respect and, frankly, rudeness with which Bash conducted herself with the Vice President of the United States deserves condemnation. The arrogance and ego of the corporate media is out of bounds, and it cheapens our public discourse.

@mastodonmigration @libramoon that’s the reason she really needs to ignore the legacy press. They are so biased and you can get better news via blogs and Substack. Even late night comedy news is better than what you get through the mainline press it’s just a horse race to them . I thought it was great that she ignored them for so long. CNN is so by us anyway, couldn’t believe the headlines that she dodged the question about her race, shouldn’t even be a question

That's an interesting spin on gotcha interviewing.
Edit: Ask only vapid questions, then criticize the interviewee for lack of substance.
