So, after all big corporate media's bitching and moaning, Harris and Walz gave them an opportunity to demonstrate they're not hopelessly corrupt disinformation merchants, and CNN failed that test spectacularly. Guess they don't need to do that again.

To be absolutely clear here, this was a test for John Malone's CNN, not for Harris and Walz. Everyone knew the Democratic candidates would conduct themselves with intelligence, style and grace. It was CNN that was in the spotlight. CNN was given a chance to prove they were not manipulative propagandist hacks, and in true fashion they utterly failed with one ridiculous gotcha question after another. So now, CNN has torched all credibility, and can rightfully be completely ignored by the campaign.

@mastodonmigration Yep, time for Harris and Walz to show the world that the mainstream media is a toothless tiger and the days of having to bow to corporate media oligarchs is over. They believe they have a right to choose who is leader. Those days are long gone.

I was personally insulted by Ms. Bash's questions. She appeared to be grossly uninformed, completely oblivious to the (rather sacred) democratic process we (the all of us that includes Dana Bash) are undergoing as a nation. That said, I really wasn't expecting more than that from for-profit mega-corporate news.
Harris and Walz conducted themselves in an honorable fashion. I expected that as well.
So no surprises. As expected.

Beautifully put. Dana Bash embarrassed herself and her network, while Harris and Walz demonstrated competence and grace.

This was a Harris FU! Why not ABC, CBS, NBC but she chose CNN? OMG!
Malone and Zaslav made no secret about their intentions 2 years ago. Bash was executing a script designed to denigrate her but the issue is that she made the stupid mistake of thinking she was smarter than they were.
Now we have an upcoming debate that she has inserted herself into unnecessarily! Trumps investigators are out right now looking for dirt and Harris is about to become
FANI T WILLIS Jr.

Disagree. It was necessary to give CNN the opportunity. Harris and Walz handled the predictable gotcha interview well and exposed the corrupt CNN agenda. It was important to establish CNN as a hostile entity at this stage if the race.

Well, the WBD takeover of CNN was 2 years ago. Giving CNN an opportunity for what? Wasn't the CNN/Trump interview enough?
Harris answered poorly about her stance on "fracking" and was called a LIAR, on the air with video proof that she had, all day today. Good? That's not my assessment!
Next, the DEBATE! She appears to be thinking that she's smarter than all of them. She can't afford mistakes like these and she should know better !!!
I'll even give you one if you wish.

Yes. In fact, Harris and Walz are now running against big billionaire corporate media, just as they are running against Trump. Opposition to fascism in all its forms is the heart and soul of their campaign. Unleashing the power of the people will require dispensing with fascism's gatekeepers.

Such is the nature of gotcha questions. They are designed as heads I win, tails you lose traps. You are right the fracking question might have been better answered, but every question had the same catch. Overall they demonstrated grace under fire and exposed the hostile agenda of the network. Not saying this stuff is easy, but laying the groundwork for sidestepping corporate media requires they be discredited, and that was largely accomplished.

@mastodonmigration In my view CNN had zero credibility before the MAGA billionaire bought it but since he turned them MAGA they are Fox lite with negative cred. I boycott them and at this point the rest of the #MSM

@lawyersgunsnmoney @mastodonmigration Dunno about the cable network but the web site is⦠not terrible? It's shallow but not MAGA, really quite Kamala-friendly.
