Dear companies that make kids' clothing and accessories:
1. There are more colors in existence than darks and pink/lavender.
2. Female superheroes exist. So do female characters in Star Wars outside of OT Leia. Character gear should not be limited to princesses, TYVM.
3. Girls need pants, not just leggings. Actual pants with thicker material and reinforced knees. And no, you don't have to put pink sparkle hearts on them to make sure no one thinks she's a boy. -

Buying for my son 10 years ago was pretty easy, though I did end up buying a few dozen things from the girls' section because apparently light greens and blues and any shade of yellow are too femme for boys or something.
But buying for my daughter has been an exercise in frustration. She has hand-me-downs from her brother, and I buy a lot of basics from the boys' section, but good lord. Can we have stuff other than trucks and princesses?
Thank fuck (and Australia) for Bluey, at least.

@mastodonmigration Not really what I'm looking for, alas. And those are still heavy on the darks and neutrals. I want actual colors--pastels, jewel tones, etc.--that go beyond pink and purple.

@mastodonmigration This is more the kind of thing I'm looking for. This company has a lot of good stuff, but it's really expensive. Meh. https://www.hannaandersson.com/baby-girl-sets/81886-23L.html?dwvar_81886-23L_color=23L&cgid=null

Seems like a market opportunity.
