@blogdiva I did want to be like the Japanese competitive hot dog eater when I was younger. No longer, as I want to eat more than hot dogs.

Yesterday I had the snow cheese chicken sandwich at Frybaby, the tofu with uni AND yuzu shio ramen at Afuri; the fateyah at Kaaba’s Kitchen, and sushi at Zilla Sake
I think I would have preferred the hazelnut vegan ramen at Afuri to the shio ramen I had
-
@[email protected] those all sound so good!
-
@geraineon the fateyah in particular was like a really good, but different karipap

@skinnylatte only a few hours in Portland as we drove through (on road trip in 2021) so didn't get to eat much there - save lunch (2 places )
Appreciated Eem Thai for making the som tam spicy! Other dishes and curries were good, if a little fancy/gussied up.
Cartopia had quite good Egyptian which I don't see much so kids ate a fair bit there (also it was on road trip so getting rice there was nice)
Looking forward to your Portland spots and updating my list -
