When you watch a gaming stream on #YouTube instead of #Twitch because there's *less* ads on YouTube even though you have #TwitchPrime and aren't paying for YouTube...
#Amazon has been shattering #Twitch and #Google has been picking up the pieces as they fall.
Would love to see #fediverse somehow fill in that gap.

@vwbusguy I must assume there is a regional thing going on on Youtube because while ads on Twitch are annoying and (to my knowledge) unblockable, the last time I turned off my Adblocker on Youtube, I legitimately sat there for minutes before the video rolled and before I knew it, the little bit of actual video I saw was interrupted again by another ad.

@vwbusguy That particular video was about 30 minutes long. But I've also been stuck in a 30 second ad for a 100 second Blender tutorial. Different video, same hell.

@memoriesin8bit Oh, for sure. That's part of my surprise about this. YouTube is generally very aggressive with ads. My point is that Twitch ads are worse than YouTube specifically for gaming livestreams.
