every christmas season the local hardware stores have to put up signs yelling "WE DO NOT SELL MALE TO MALE CORDS, WE WILL NOT MAKE THEM"
but no one ever does the same for female-to-female cords. makes you think, doesn't it?
-
@foone I am tellin' ya', man, it's a conspiracy against the LBGT+ community! A conspiracy!
-
@foone You can use a m2m cord and a f2f one to make a regular but longer extension cord.
-
@larsmb exactly the excuse I'm gonna give the hardware store guys tomorrow
-
@Ertain exactly! See, you understand!
-
@foone But they do sell normal extension cords, scissors, and soldering irons...
-
@foone all cables are trans
-
@foone
Can't we all just settle on non binary power cords and be done with it? -
@foone misandry very very sad
-
@qdoit I know!
Let our males love each other! -
@SvenGeier I am, obviously, all in favor of non-binary cords.
-
@GTRichey my god, I never thought of it like this.
-
@foone that's because of the bible. It clearly says that male with male is an aberration, but it's strangely silent on female with female.
-
@hackbarth I believe in separation of church and electricity!
-
@hackbarth I got annoyed the first time I saw a church with solar panels.
that's not the power from on high that you're supposed to be believing in, guys! -
@yantor3d I think there's some kind of halting-problem sort of inability to stop the customer from making the thing, as if "electrical store + customer" is turing complete, using "turing complete" as a metaphor for "can be used to make an M-to-M cable".
A hardware shop that cannot supply the parts to make an M-to-M cable is an incomplete hardware shop, so they have to. But they have to at least try to stop ya.
-
@foone homophobic double standards
-
@jackemled exactly!
