@hugo @kissane i really liked this one, and the dark forest metaphor is resonant. as alaska hunkers down for winter, i've been feeling/thinking about coziness as a sense of communal safety, and about the folk art that often refers to it and how you see people drawn to that art in pop culture the last few years with the thick foliage and dark backgrounds and stylized animals. we have a real hunger for coziness, but also, like, seasonally right. we also seek brightness and public space...

And seasonality, whether collective or individual, feels critically important to me as a factor in network design. (I keep thinking about market days and festivals and temporary periods of connection.)
