It’s super cheap, it’s very good, it has lots of things, and most of the people who shop there are working class people from the neighborhood. In short, it is the opposite of the Ferry Building farmers market
If you go at 2pm ish (Wed and Sundays) you can get dollar bags. We only spend <$20 a week for incredible fruit and veg

@skinnylatte wow I wish I had a farmer's market that cheap around me. I've been going to the local farmers market regularly since you posted a while ago about how much higher quality the produce is at them versus grocery stores. I just accepted that it takes a lot of money to eat well in this upside down society where decent vegetables are expensive.

@be I feel like there are different types. Where I am, I would say this one and another one called Alemany would be what I call proper farmers markets.
Some are a bit more bougie and the produce prices at those can be inflated too. In that case I would skip those types of markets and look for wholesale prices elsewhere. Or local Asian markets, which tend to have better produce and cheaper prices (at least here)

@skinnylatte There are lots of farmers markets in my area but there's nothing there that isn't way cheaper in the grocery store. I only get things at the farmers market that I just can't buy at the grocery store. Certain mushrooms, fresh yellow tomatoes for example. The prices are very high.

@Nonya_Bidniss yeah even here, there are only 2 farmers markets I would say are very good (incl this one) and better than stores. The rest are a lifestyle biz.
