It's getting to the point where, with extreme reluctance, I might have to succumb and get WhatsApp. I don't want it, but so much seems to be done through there now - including secure chat with my home insurance company, assuming I don't want to use the phone, which I don't. Not happy.

@BicycleBen It's a popular way for companies to communicate. I had a CS call with EE business yesterday, and when the call ended, I was given a link to their WhatsApp profile for future comms.

@andycarolan I've seen it in a business and marketing context a few times, but today is the first where I've seen it with such prominence and assumption that everybody just has it. This was after a virtual assistant chat which (of coure) couldn't help. No alternatives given, not even a phone number, which I only found after looking for it.

@BicycleBen I've seen it a lot with companies in recent times. I don't really have a problem with it as a method of communication, I just don't like who owns it lol.
