Steam has updated their Steam Subscriber Agreement to clarify (possibly due to the recent law that passed in California) that your purchases are licenses to access games and media on Steam. You don't own anything on Steam.

@tamitha We always had a vague sense this was true, but I agree that seeing it displayed this way is disconcerting. I mean, what IF Steam just closes its doors one day? I feel like there's zero guarantee your games...erm, the licenses to access your games...will let you PLAY said games.
