Poland has begun construction of a line of defensive fortifications called the Eastern Shield on its border with Russia.
$2.5 billion has been allocated to strengthening Poland's borders with Russia and Belarus in an effort to deter aggression.

The Polish Foreign Ministry replied to #Zelenskyy after he said that he had asked Warsaw to hand over MiG fighter jets, but Poland had not.
The Polish FM justified this by pointing to the aid his country had already provided and the fact that Russia was also a threat to #Poland.

The U.S. believes #China is concerned about Russia’s growing ties with N #Korea and urges China to limit #DPRK military involvement in #Ukraine, the NYT writes.
But, #China may protest DPRK’s actions, as they could risk drawing EU attention to Taiwan and impacting regional stability.
