@ryanc are you asking for the best Windows or the most Windows. Because my answers will be different, depending

@mcc I had "best" in mind, but I am interested to hear your thoughts on "best" vs "most".

@ryanc this is just a clever way to ask "how old are you" and harvest all our information, isn't it

@jhwgh1968 I can't see who voted for what, and I'm not sure how polls work on the backend, but I trust Jerry, the admin of my instance.

Windows 98 was Windows 95 fixed.
Windows XP was Windows ME fixed
Windows 7 was Windows Vista fixed
Windows 10 was Windows 8 fixed
Currently at Windows 11 in the pattern -

@ryanc Windows 7 has to be the best for stability, imho.
I chose windows 10, however, due to the most recent updates as it meets the needs of both power users and regular users.
Windows sp3 I have mixed feelings about. SP3 felt like it wasn't related to original XP or SP1 or 2. It was really good with drivers.

@ryanc Y'all say XPSP3, but in your heart of hearts, Win2K was the absolute best.

@bitsnpieces Windows XP was the replacement after they took Windows ME out back and shot it, there was no fixing it.

@electric_gumball @ryanc the company I was working with at the time refused to go to vista, but needed the ram, so we're running a mix of xp and xp64. These two things are much less alike than their IT department was hoping for.
