@munin a friend (cis) had prostate cancer and part of the treatment was T suppression and some estrogen. He started having monthly mood swings and lots of other things we attribute to women. He was like “now I understand”. A useful exercise even if a bad reason.

Fun fact, trans women on adequate hrt regimens get periods same as cis women, including the extremely specific lower abdominal cramping.
Only thing different is the lack of endometrial shedding ("bleeding") on account of the lack of a uterus - so, effectively, we're in the same boat as cis women with a hysterectomy.
Chocolate also ends up being oddly useful for managing that.
The emotional expansion is also a hell of a trip.

@munin @petrillic we got cramps in muscles that we didnt even know we had, it was wild. also for lack of a better description we saw our color bit depth increase from 8-bit to "Millions of Colors"
