I remember reading a story a few years ago about people using Amazon and other legit sites to sell real books at inflated prices as a tool of money laundering. $2K, $5K, $20K for a $20 book.
They were also doing it with fake, self-published books full of unintelligible and meaningless writing.
I'm not suggesting they are doing that, but š§
I think @briankrebs published an article about Amazon book money laundering schemes, also, at some point.

@Utah44 Your eyes aren't deceiving you, as searches on AbeBooks.com and Bookfinder.com show prices in the thousands for the hardback:

I wonder if it is the same seller setting up comparable pricing at the other sites so Amazon will let it get away with that price?

That Amazon help link ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/help ) still goes to the "not found" page. I actually clicked a link the other day and got it, so it is still linkable somewhere on their website.
You would think they would do a URL forward by now. It's been 6 years since your article.
