actually this is a common pattern when we try and associate with groups of white people: they treat us like a second class citizen while pretending to accept us, then one day they decide suddenly that there's some unspeakable problem with us, that we're aggressive and hostile, and thus need to be forcibly excluded

astrid phonemuseum pulled this on us in 2017.

qualia yinglet pulled this and now goes around saying we "just" hate her because she's white, and nobody challenges them on this for ??? reasons ??? (pathological conflict avoidance)

the offered alternative was "you're opinionated and hostile" (and thus potentially abusive and dangerous), which is.... drumroll please... rooted in white racial prejudices that create a hierarchy of discomfort

@atax1a also I've never seen you be hostile just because someone disagrees with you or whatever, it's always in response to bad behavior. like, they see the fact that you are willing to be hostile to people who are being hostile to you as "bad" and that says a whole lot more about their deep-seated issues that they need to work on than it does about you.

@Sharksonaplane i think what it says more specifically is that they don't see the original inciting event as hostility, they just see our response as hostility.

that, and: wow. we have opinions. and we express them. because we're not a soggy-brained manipulation victim with no ability to assert ourselves.

@eri as we understand it, white society prescribes a strict hierarchy of who is allowed to make the other uncomfortable, and if you're "beneath" someone and cause upward discomfort, you get this treatment. doesn't have to be racialized, could definitely be "you're not the right kind of trans"

@Sharksonaplane @atax1a I am hostile to people who lump me in with racists because "my people" are white and "have benefited from racism". My nation is near extinct from russian genocidal efforts, we've barely been independent after 1200 for 50 years. There was more of us than Finnish but now, <1 million of us. Never invaded anyone, helped our neighbours to gain independence.

Every situation is different and if you don't want to learn the reasons, please don't pile onto someone.
